internship/work/1-year-out stop ... for F1 visa students in the U.S.?

I am a graduate student in the U.S., the status of my F-1 visa. I completed MBA and then make Macc from fall 2007 (now I'm in the second half). I plan to gain work experience before graduation, either in summer or autumn, spring. I know that summer is best time to practice full time. However, I have more opportunities for spring and it is likely that the workplace would be in another state (both working and coming to class is impossible). Is there anyway to reach my goal? I see that some international non-program co-Coptic, some do 1-year-locking stop (stop outside the school for 1 year to go to work and then return to school). I do knot know if I have this right. Please help me in this matter. Thank you!
