On Line Masters Degree Programs

On line studies at UK Universities?

I'm a Canadian student, just about finished my Bachelors in Criminology. I've had 23 years of police experience and once I'm finished my BA I wanted to go on to do a Masters degree.

I was speaking with someone not to long ago and this person mentioned he was able to do his Masters of Criminology on line through a British university. My problem is that I can't recall which university he said he did his program through and he is not available for me to ask right now. I've tried to search on line but I tend to get only results from various US based schools.

Does anyone know of any UK universities that offer on line studies in the Criminology field that are open to international students? Either general Criminology or perhaps even Crime and Intelligence Analysis. I know that University of Edinburgh used to offer the MA in Crime and Int Analysis however it seems not to offer it any longer.

So all you have to do is enter the name of the school that you wish to research and see if it comes up as having been accredited by a reliable accrediting agency. If a school or online degree program is found to not be accredited by a reliable agency, it's usually best to avoid it at all costs.
